We know the benefits of fiber in our own diet, but is their any benefits of fiber in a dog’s diet? Fiber was consider filler and bulk in year’s past, but today, the nutritional value of fiber in the dog’s diet is finally realized.
What exactly is fiber? It is a part of carbohydrates. Fiber is not highly digestible by the body. Your dog’s diet can benefit from fiber in appropriate amounts. Just like humans, too much fiber in a diet can have negative effects on the digestive system. It is always important to monitor your dog’s diet to maintain a healthy level of fiber to suit your pet’s needs. Talk to your veterinarian about the benefits of fiber in your dog’s diet.
Obedience is prevalent in both humans and pets. Too often, pet’s become overweight. Fiber in your dog’s diet is a terrific way to help your pet lose excess weight. Maintaining a healthy weight is crucial to the longevity and quality of your dog’s life. We know that fiber cannot accomplish weight loss on its own, but it can truly make a difference. Fiber helps to keep your dog feeling full and content without large amounts of calories.
The pets who achieve the desired weight goal may need a little extra fiber in the dog’s diet to maintain the desired weight. Combining fiber with strict portion control, you will be able to create a dog diet that is healthy and satisfying for your pet.
Again, similar to humans, constipation does occur in pets. Your dog’s diet should contain fiber to help prevent this medical condition from occurring. As your dog ages, his or her diet should contain elevated levels of fiber. Senior dogs tend to deal with issues of constipation more frequently than their younger counterparts. For this reason, you will note higher fiber content in senior dog diets.
How does fiber help keep things moving? Fiber absorbs water. With the absorption of water in the fiber, the contents in the intestine have more bulk. This is what causes the movement along the intestinal tract. The passage time through the bowel becomes more normalized and regular.
Healthy amounts of fiber in your dog’s diet will contribute to fecal consistency. You will know when your pet is getting the proper amount of fiber when your dog relieves himself regularly. Too much fiber in your dog’s diet will result in loose and messy stools.
Some studies indicate that a slight increase in fiber can assist in the management of diabetes mellitus. The fiber helps to control blood sugar levels by slowing the absorption of sugar from the intestine.
Take note that excessive amounts of fiber can have negative affects on your dog’s health. For this reason, it is important to buy high-quality dog food from reputable companies to ensure a healthy diet for your dog. Watch for these sources of fiber in your dog’s diet. Beet pulp, soybean hulls, rice bran, apple and tomato pomace, and peanut hulls. Grain such as oats and rice are also examples of indigestible fiber.
Fiber does have benefits in your dog’s diet when used in moderation. Talk to your vet about the best amount of fiber for your pet.

First, there is the most natural way of darkening your skin through exposure to the sun rays. This allowed for a quick and effective darkening of the skin; but after long exposure it is found to be very dangerous to the skin, and which extreme result could lead to a skin cancer.
Next, finding an alternative produced the first tanning product released in 1960’s; results gave you effective darkening of the skin, but, alas, also gave you streaked, orange coloring, which is far from realistic tanned color.
After that first attempt, there are tanning products that proliferated in the cosmetic market and all promising to provide effective tanned result. There are basically two kinds: tanning from the inside products, which include tanning pills and tanning accelerators; and tanning on the outside products, which include tanning bronzers and tanning lotions and sprays. These products are applied differently and depending on the reliability of the product brand, both can be effective on tanning your skin.
But recently, all those sunless tanning applications have been clouded by what seem to be the quickest and safest application from yet another excellent innovation of California Tan: the California Tan Mist-on Tanning booth. Not too long ago, the industry has benefited from this easiest application provided by the tanning booth.
What is this California Tan Mist-on Booth?
The tanning booth can be found on professional salons and spas where their professional technicians will assist you in getting the tanned look from the spray equipment. It literally sprays a very fine mist of self-tanner so you get a uniform coating of the tanned skin color from head to toe. It uses state-of-the-art misting technology, that’s why you get tanned all over your body without the streaks.
The application finishes in minutes (in most customers, up to 7 minutes which included time spent putting clothes on and off) with your skin not only achieving instant golden glow but also feels soft and supple due to the quality moisturizers that come with the bronzer.
Applications start by misting your skin that finishes in a matter of seconds; after which, you towel-buff and then you are done. The naturally, golden brown will set in after 8 to 12 hours. The first few minutes produce instant color. It intensifies for the next 30 minutes. After an overnight, intensity of the color doubles and even higher quality of bronzed skin and typically lasts for about 7 days.
California Tan Mist-on booth sprays will not leave you a fake tan look
California Tan tanning products have been known to produce effective and natural-looking tan glow on the skin. Making it further an effective and convenient application, the mist-on booth sprays allow you to sport a realistic tan color. This is because the tanning spray has formulas that able to control color variations. This means that the reaction will depend on the skin type and natural color. Fairer-skinned people will get a lighter tan color than with those olive-skinned persons upon application. Thus, the mist-on sprays are ideal for everybody who wants a sunkissed, bronzed glow.
What to remember when getting a tanned look through California Tan Mist-on booth
The spray tanning booth is the best answer for those people seeking the quickest and safest bronzing of their skin. However, you must also remember that you should not rely on the application to protect your skin from the sun rays too. If going out and exposure to sunlight is unavoidable, you must wear a sunscreen at least 15 times the sun protection. Remember your tanned glow is natural so it can get burned from the UV rays.

You don’t have to be lucky to get a real steal at a car auction - although, it does help. Mostly you just have to be patient and have a really good eye for cars. Of course, if you’re not a car person, it really isn’t all that hard to get a car enthusiast to come along. What mechanical maniac would pass up a chance to get a great car at an even better price, or just have a look at what they could get?
But what if you don’t have any monkey wrenching friends? What should you steer clear of at a car auction, and how can you know what is a steal, and what is a recipe for a crash? Getting something at a car auction isn’t like going to your local dealer, but you are still pretty likely to end up with a lemon. What’s worse, there’s no such thing as a refund. If you pick up a dud, you’re stuck with it.
Getting your car-o-vision
First of all, forget everything you think you know about the odometer’s mileage. It’s just a sales gimmick. Granted higher mileage does mean higher maintenance, but at a car auction, high mileage can mean that it’s a good sturdy car. Don’t fret if something that otherwise looks really great has over three hundred thousand miles on it. There are bigger things you should worry about. Such as rust. When an interesting car pulls up during the car auction, up-end yourself and have a look, most especially, at the underbelly of the car. If you don’t see anything, give it a little kick just to be sure. The lower part of the body after the wheel wells is a good spot. If you hear a crunch or see something fall - obviously, that’s not a good sign! Some rust is okay, but if it looks extensive on the outside, then it’s probably pretty extensive on the inside. However, the previous owner might have repaired or replaced some of the parts that rust most commonly affects. If you really like a car, but are kinda sketchy about the rust, walk around the back and have a quick look at the exhaust. Although, if it’s running, you should be able to hear if the exhaust is in good condition. Nevertheless, give it a once-over and look for holes or anything hanging.
The auction driver can also be your greatest asset. When each car pulls up and drives away during the car auction, watch the driver for a couple seconds. See if they have to go through some kind of charade to put it in gear, or can’t get the radio to work. Don’t be afraid to ask the driver what they had to do in order to make the car start. If they have to open the door so you can chat, then it’s likely not a keeper.
Your ears are your best friend
If for some strange reason you become addicted to the car auction, you’ll eventually pick up on what every clank, ding, ping, and chug means. For your first time though, it might be just a bit difficult to know exactly what is wrong with a car just by listening to it. By now you’ve probably heard what a healthy car sounds like - try for cars that sound the closest to that.
After the car auction, you can learn a great deal by posing as a troubled car owner. Call up a few mechanics and ask them about the sounds you heard at the car auction. Once they give you their opinion, ask how much that kind of work might cost, and be certain to make a mental note of that for your next visit to the car auction.

Speed is a fun card game that can be played by both adults and children with an ordinary deck of playing cards. True to its name, the game calls for quick thinking and fast movements.
The objective of the game is to go out. This can only be done by eliminating all of the cards in your hand. Each person in the game is dealt a total of 10 cards, face down, which they hold in front of them so only they can see. The remaining deck is placed face down in the center of the table and the top card is flipped up. The game then begins as two or more players race to try to get rid of their cards.
The only way a player can get rid of their cards is to put a card down that either goes before or after the card at the top of the pile. For example, if the card on the top of the discard deck, which is face up, is an eight, players can either put a nine or a seven on top of that card. An Ace can be either high or low and when an Ace is on the top in the discard pile, a person can put down either a King or a two.
There are no “turns” taken in the card game of Speed. Players race to see who can put down cards quicker. If a person has no cards in their hand that can go on top of the discard face up deck, they can pick as many cards as they want off of the face down deck. Occasionally, the play will stop long enough for players to be able to focus what is in their hands.
The card game of speed is similar to Uno, except that no one takes turns playing. The game moves very quickly and the first player who gets rid of all of his or her cards is the winner.
Speed generally takes about five to ten minutes to complete. It is an ideal game for children as it teaches them to think fast and helps them learn numerical order. It is also a fun game for adults, although it is more fun when played with two people than a group as it can get very hectic.
Parents who want to spend some time with their children playing games can play Speed as well as many other card games that children can enjoy. A simple deck of playing cards, which can usually be purchased for under a dollar, is all anyone needs to have hours of fun entertainment. In addition to Speed, other fun card games to play with children that can be played with a regular deck of playing cards include “War” and “Go Fish.” A deck of playing cards can be invaluable to anyone who is playing with young children or baby sitting.
In addition, children can also be taught to play card games with each other so they have something to do on rainy or cold days, instead of relying on computers, television and video games. Card games have been around for centuries and are still being enjoyed by young and old alike.

Before the advent of cell phones, television, ipods, computers, and other forms of technology, autograph collecting was one of the most treasured past times. This interest was done on all levels, the very young, the young adult, the mature adult, and even the more wisdom matured. In fact autograph collecting was so popular until there were special books produced especially for autograph collecting. This autograph collecting was not necessarily geared to celebrities only.
Persons in the community were more accessible than movie stars and sports figures, so autograph collecting was popular throughout all walks of life. In the nineteenth century keeping an autograph book for the purpose of autograph collecting was a popular practice. As the word got around about autograph books and they became available at the local five and dime stores, it was a must have, just as the cell phone is today. The autograph book was even more popular in many areas than the personal diary. Many people during the 1950’s and 1960 have purchased autograph books. Most of these autograph books were designed for just what the name of the books implies and that is autograph collecting. These books were small, about eight inches tall by five inches wide. The book had 70 pages. Some books had different colored pages. Usually the pages were in pastel colors, such as pink, blue, lilac, yellow, and light green.
The popularity of these books was unbelievable in high schools and on the college campus. These autograph books were circulated from classmate to classmate during the recess period and during social functions at school and away from school. There were two goals for this autograph collecting. The first goal and perhaps the most important was to get a signature from every classmate. Secondly, it was a desire to fill every page in the book. You were honored and delighted when someone, who was collecting autographs, asked you for your autograph. Those classmates who were high up the ladder rungs in popularity were sort out first. Sometimes in fact there would be a little line waiting to get the persons autograph. Even more so, everyone wanted to have the teachers, administrators and other school personnel sign their book. Getting these signatures had the same importance as it is to get celebrity signatures today.
Some of these autograph books still exist today. Autograph collecting collections can be found in many special collections on campuses today in the college libraries. Many students wrote their favorite verse or quotation before autographing the book. Others wrote about special memories shared with the person during this period of time. These memories included college pranks, dormitory rooms, card games, hangouts, and stunts. Nothing is left out of these books. Included in these books are accounts of professors and various class experiences.
It was not unusual for some who were less verbal to just autograph the book and date it. As you can see autograph collecting, crosses all walks of life, all races, and socio-economic levels.

A lot of brides wonder, can I have a bachelorette party and still be viewed as a good girl? Many mothers and grandmothers advise their daughters that only “bad” women have bachelorette parties, and that a girl’s reputation can be tarnished by a wild night out on the town. So, these older women say, don’t have a bachelorette party at all.
However, for most modern brides, a bachelorette party is a right of passage, and a fair deal since the groom will undoubtedly have a
Until recently, ballroom dancing often brought about mental images of elderly couples dancing two inches from their walkers. However, in recent years, ballroom dancing has developed a new, hipper, sexier image and people of all ages are standing up and paying attention.
Movies such as Strictly Ballroom and Shall We Dance have contributed greatly to the newer kinder image that ballroom dancing is developing in the United States. As an art form, ballroom dance is a beautiful sight to behold. Particularly when watching those participate on a competitive level.
Because of the rigorous training that is involved in competitive ballroom dancing, many couples that participate often consider this to be a sport more than a style of dance or manner of artistic expression. The term DanceSport is often used in reference to ballroom dancing in the International Style.
There are many styles of dance that fall under the banner of ballroom dancing. Some of these dances are often considered to be the most beautiful to watch as well as among the most sensual styles of dance on the planet. Only you can decide for yourself if ballroom dance is something that might interest you. I do, however, encourage you to take stock of the various styles and themes before unilaterally deciding to rule out all ballroom dance as a possible interest.
International Style
Under the International Style of ballroom dance there are two main categories of dance. They are Standard and Latin. The Standard style is typically hallmarked by Fred and Ginger sort of attire. By this I mean that the style of dress is very formal with men in coats with flowing tails and vests while the women wear very elegant gowns as part of their costumes. Latin dance is far more sensual in music, mood, and attire. Men wear tight fitting garments and women wear very little.
Standard
Not only is the style of dance between Standard and Latin very different but also the styles of dance. In Standard ballroom dancing you will find the following dances: the Quickstep, the Slow Foxtrot, the Tango, the Viennese Waltz, and the Waltz. The Tango for many is the highlight of the Standard event while others have a deep appreciation for the technical qualities of the many Standard dances of ballroom dancing.
Latin
For the younger generation, the Latin portion of competitions is the eagerly anticipated event. The style of dance is very exotic and emotional as well as incredibly beautiful to watch. The mood this style of dance brings not only to the dancers but also to the audience is almost palpable. The fan favorites of Latin dance include the Cha Cha, Paso Doble, the Rumba, the Samba, and Jive dance. This form of dance is certainly in keeping with the idea that dance is quickly becoming a sport. The energy required for these dances is phenomenal as is the fitness level required in order to wear the costumes.
American Style
The American standard when it comes to dance is a little different than the International Style. The two categories for American Style are Smooth and Rhythm. There are other differences as well. In International Style the couples are required to remain in a closed formation. For American Style ballroom dance these requirements are somewhat relaxed in order to allow for creative use of footwork. The step patterns for Latin or Rhythm dance are also slightly different than in the International Style of ballroom dancing though the sensuality of the music, costumes, and movements are very much the same.
Smooth
The smooth portion of the American Style of ballroom dance includes the Foxtrot, the Tango, the Viennese Waltz, and the Waltz.
Rhythm
In American Style Ballroom dance the Rhythm portion of the dance includes the following: the Bolero, the Cha Cha, East Coast Swing, the Mambo, and the Rumba. The audience still enjoys the intensity of Latin dance and Latin influence though there are other influences as well. These are still a much anticipated audience favorite in most competitions.
As you can see, ballroom dance has taken on a new intensity in recent years. If you have preconceived ideas of what ballroom dance really is, it is time you saw for yourself how sensual this style of dance can really be.
